Jordan’s Flag Day generated over 6.33 million interactions and related content, dominating landscape
Abdurrahman AlHusami, CEO of Makana 360, a firm specialising in strategic communications and analysis, said Jordan’s Flag Day recorded broad digital and media presence this year, emerging as one of the most prominent national moments across media platforms and social media channels.
Al Husami said the company’s monitoring indicators, covering Flag Day and the days leading up to it, showed around 6.33 million engagements, interactions and posts of content related to the occasion across digital platforms, news websites, TVs and radio, while April 16 alone recorded about 4.96 million engagement and related content.
He added that this momentum reflects the flag’s strong symbolic standing as an emblem of national identity, sovereignty and belonging, alongside the organised presence of official institutions, educational institutions, and security and military bodies, as well as broad public participation through photos, videos and personal posts.
Al Husami noted that scenes of flag-raising in schools, universities and public institutions, in addition to the flag’s visible presence in streets, homes and cars, gave the occasion clear visual and popular weight, reinforcing it as a unifying national moment that extended beyond the official framework into broad public engagement.
He also pointed out that the Hashtag “علمنا عال” dominated the digital discourse surrounding the occasion, becoming the most visible and widely circulated expression among users, reflecting its success in evolving into a unifying message that captured the overall spirit of the celebration.
Al Husami stressed that Flag Day this year succeeded in further establishing itself as a unifying national occasion, reflecting a high level of pride and belonging, and demonstrating the national symbol’s ability to unify the public mood across the digital and media space.
