One of the biggest problems of the advertising industry in Jordan
One of the biggest problems killing the advertising industry in Jordan:
Clients are hiring unqualified marketing managers.
Titles are given based on internal politics or past roles, not marketing knowledge or advertising expertise. As a result, entire campaigns built by skilled, experienced creative teams are being judged by junior-level thinking or personal taste.
No understanding of consumer behavior
No appreciation for strategy
No clue about communication objectives
Just “I don’t like this visual”
Agencies aren’t being evaluated on creativity or effectiveness. They’re being filtered through outdated opinions and ego-driven feedback.
This isn’t sustainable.
It’s no surprise that Jordanian talent is disappearing. The best minds are leaving for places where the craft is respected and creative thinking is treated like a business tool, not a mood board for personal preference.
If brands want real results, they need real marketers.
Until then, creativity will keep paying the price…
